All praise is due to Allah for His gifts. Then peace along with blessings of Allah...

On a Prophet who came with Divine Unity while [other] religions were empty of belief in One God.

So he guided the creation to the religion of Al-Haqq ... with his sword and his guidance to the Truth.

Muhammad, the Final of the Prophets of His Lord... and upon his kin, his companions, and his faction.

To proceed: Knowledge of the foundation of the religion is obligatory, requiring elucidation.

However, due to digressions, motivations have languished. So, summarization has grown necessary for it.

This is a versification that I have nicknamed, “The Gem of Divine Unity” which I have refined.

Only Allah, I ask, for acceptance, that He benefits through it the seeker hoping for reward.

Everyone who is a moral agent is legally obligated to know what is necessary...

For Allah, and what is possible and impossible. Likewise, the same for the Messengers, so listen!

Whoever blindly imitates in Divine Unity, his belief is not safe from wavering.

About him, some of the nation relayed a difference of opinion... and some of them asserted clarity.

He said that if he is absolutely positive based on the opinion of another... it suffices. Otherwise, he remains in grave danger.

Affirm that the first of the obligations... is knowledge, and in this is an established difference of opinion.

So reflect upon yourself, then transition... to the greater realm, then the lower.

Through it, you will find bewildering precision, unprecedented and meticulous. However, within it lies the proof of nonexistence.

And everything that is possible for it to be non-existent... it is absolutely impossible for it to be Beginningless.

Belief is defined as affirmation. In its utterance, the fact is there is a difference of opinion.

It is said to be a precondition, like actions. It is also said, rather it is a part of it. And Islam is explained by actions.

Examples of these is Hajj and prayer. Likewise, fasting and Zakat, so learn!

The stronger opinion is that belief increases... with what increases the obedience of a person.

And it decreases by the decreasing of it [obedience]. It is said, no [it does not change]... It is also said, there is no disagreement: this is how it was relayed.

So, necessary for Him is existence and Eternality. Likewise, Permanence that is not tarnished by non-existence.

And to anything impaired by non-existence, He is... different from it. The proof of this is Eternality.

And Self-Subsistence, and Oneness, free, and His Attributes lofty...

From any opposite, peer, or partner- uncategorically... and a father, likewise a son or friends.

And Power and Will. It is different... than a command, Knowledge, or pleasure, as is established.

And His Knowledge, it is not referred to as “acquired”... so follow the path of truth and cast off all doubt.

His Life, likewise Speech, and Hearing... Then, Sight. These reached us through transmission.

Does He have Perception, or not? There is debate... According to a group, the correct position is suspending judgment.

He is Living, All-Knowing, All-Powerful, All-Willing, All-Hearing, All-Seeing, and wills whatever He chooses.

He is Speaking. Then, the Attributes of His Self... Are not separable from the Self, nor are they the Self itself.

Power is related to possibilities... there is no end to what it relates to.

Oneness is necessary for it. Similar to it... is the Will. And Knowledge, however, it includes them [possibilities]...

And it also includes necessities and impossibilities. Similar to that is His Speech- so let us follow!

Relate to every existence, the Hearing of it. Likewise Sight, and Perception if it is affirmed.

These are separate from Knowledge, as is [scripturally] affirmed... Then Life, and it is not related to anything.

According to us, His Exalted Names... likewise the Attributes of His Entity are eternal.

The preferred opinion is that His Names are only transmitted... likewise the Attributes, so memorize the transmissions.

Every text that instills delusion of anthropomorphism... interpret it or delegate it and intend transcendence [from bodily meaning].

And deem the Qur’an, i.e. His Speech, free... of createdness, and beware of His retribution.

Every text that indicates createdness... interpret it to be the phrases that indicate [to His Speech].

The opposite of these attributes are impossible... in His right, such as being in a direction.

It is possible in His right what is possible... creating or annihilation, such as His giving wealth.

So, He is the Creator of His slaves and what they do... and the Enabler of success to whomever He wills to attain it.

And forsakes whoever He wills to be distanced from it... And fulfills His Promise for whomever He wishes.

The felicity of the successful is ordained with Him Pre-Eternally... Likewise misery, then it does not transfer.

According to us, the acquisition (kasb) of the slave makes him morally responsible... but it has no causal effect, so take note!

So, he is not compelled and without free will... Nor does he do everything freely.

So if He rewards us, it is completely by [His] grace... And if He punishes us, it is completely by [His] justice.

And their saying that providential care is necessary upon Him... is false testimony of what is necessary for Him.

Do they not see His causing of pain for children... and the likes? So, beware of retribution!

It is possible for him to create evil... And good, such as Islam and the ignorance of disbelief.

Our belief in Predestination is obligatory... and the Decree, as it has come in the transmission.

And of it is that He will be seen by [believers’] sights... however, without modality or totality.

For the believers, because it was connected to rational possibility... And for the Chosen One, it was affirmed in this life.

And of it is the sending of all the Messengers... It is not necessary; rather it is completely from [His] grace.

However, it is obligatory for us to believe in this... So abandon the whims of the people who jest with them.

It is necessary in their right to have integrity... and their truthfulness, and add to it intelligence.

Similar to that is their conveyance of what they came with... and impossible is their opposites, as is relayed.

It is possible in their right, things like eating... and like sexual intercourse with women in the state of permissibility.

The summary of the meanings that are stipulated... is the two testimonies of Islam, so leave any argumentation!

Prophethood is never acquired... even if he were to ascend in good up to the loftiest of summits.

Rather, it is the grace of Allah that He gives to whoever... He wishes, Glory to Allah, the Bestower of gifts.

The greatest creation, without restriction... is our Prophet, so steer away from deviation.

The Prophets follow him in rank... and after them is the Angels [of Allah], to whom all grace belongs.

[Know this], and a group differentiated when ranking... And some of them are indeed higher in rank than others.

With miracles, they were corroborated, as a gift... and infallibility from the Creator for all of them is necessary.

The greatest of creation was distinguished in that Our Lord completed... through him all of them. And He made universal-

-his mission, so his Law will never be abrogated... by other than it until the end of time.

And its abrogation of all other laws occurred... necessarily. May Allah humiliate those who deny it!

The abrogation of part of his Law with another part... is rationally possible. And there is nothing from this that is a deficiency.

His miracles are numerous, well-known... of them is the Word of Allah, incapacitated mankind.

And affirm the ascension of the Prophet as it is transmitted... and vindicate Aisha from what they accused.

His companions are the greatest generation, so listen!... then their followers, then the followers of their followers.

The best of them are those entrusted with the Caliphate... and the affair of their rank is like the order of the Caliphate.

Following them is the group of noble and righteous men... their number is six, completing the Ten.

Then, the people of Badr, of immense significance... then the people of Uhud, then the Covenant of Ridwan.

The rank of the Forerunners is known by textual proof... [Know] this, and there is a difference of opinion in their identification.

And interpret the dispute that is mentioned... if you must delve into it. And refrain from slandering them.

And Malik, and the rest of the Imams... likewise Abu Al-Qasim [Al-Junayd Al-Salik] are the guides of the Nation.

It is obligatory to follow the authoritative scholar from them... this has been relayed by the people with clear statements.

And affirm for the Saints miraculous gifts... And whoever denies them, cast aside his speech.

According to us, supplication benefits... as it is heard promised in the Qur’an.

Entrusted for every slave are guardians... and selected writers that are never remiss-

-in any of his matters that he did, even absent-mindedly... even the moans during sickness, as is transmitted.

So hold the ego accountable, and reduce [your] desires... For often does the one who strives attain [his goal].

Our belief in death is obligatory... and the Angel of Death collects the soul.

The one killed has died at his [predestined] age... other than that is falsehood that is not accepted.

And the annihilation of the soul during the blowing [of the Horn] is differed upon... and [Taqi ul-Din] Al-Subki selected its remaining, which was known.

The tailbone is like the soul, however Al-Muzani selected... its annihilation and elucidated it.

And they specified the generality of “everything is bound to perish” [Al-Qasas, 88]... so seek out what they summarized!

And do not delve into the soul, since there is no text relayed...from the Lawgiver, however there exists...

... from Malik a statement that it is a shape like the body... so the statement should suffice you with this chain of narration.

The intellect is like the soul, but they agreed... that there is a difference of opinion. So look towards what they explained.

Our questioning, then the punishment of the grave... and its reward is obligatory [to affirm]. Likewise, the Resurrection and Gathering.

And say that the body will return in its essence... after non-existence, and it is said after separation...

... both completely, however this difference of opinion is specific... due to the Prophets and the ones about whom a text exists.

And in [the possibility] of returning of accidentals, there are two opinions... and the preponderant opinion is the return of them exactly.

And about time, there are two opinions. And the Account... is true. And there is no doubt in its veracity.

And sins with Him are by their like... and good deeds are multiplied by [His] generosity.

And by refraining from the major sins, forgiven... are the minor deeds. And it is transmitted that Wudu’ expiates.

And the Last Day, then the horror of the standing point... are true. So alleviate [it for us], Oh Merciful, and grant aid!

And obligatory [to believe] is the slaves taking their books... as is known from the text of the Qur’an.

Like this is the Weighing and the Scales... the books or [the actions] themselves.

Likewise, the Path, and the slaves differ... in their crossing. Some are safe, and some doomed.

And the Throne and the Seat, then the Pen... the Writers, and The Tablet- all have a wisdom.

Not due to dependence, and of them our belief... is obligatory, oh mankind!

The Fire is true, and exists now like Paradise... so do not side with its deluded rejectors.

A permanent abode for the felicitous and the miserable... either punished or rewarded wherever they reside.

Our belief in the Pool of the Greatest Messenger... is obligatory as has reached us in by transmission.

From it drinks nations who fulfilled... their Covenant. And say that the ones who overstepped shall be casted away.

And obligatory is the intercession of the Intercessor... Muhammad, who precedes. And do not deny it!

And other than him, whom He is pleased with, selected... intercede as has reached us in the reports.

Because forgiveness for other than disbelief is possible... so we do not deem a believer a disbeliever due to sin.

Whoever dies and does not repent from his sins... then his affair is delegated with his Lord.

It is obligatory [to believe in] the punishment of some of those absorbed in... major sins. Then [believing that] their permanent residency in it will not occur.

And attribute the martyr in battle with life... and his sustenance with the desirable objects of the Gardens.

And sustenance according to the people is what is benefitted by... and it is said, no, it is what is owned, but this is not followed.

So know that Allah provides with permissible things... and what is disliked, and what is impermissible.

And in seeking means, or putting one’s trust [in Allah], there is a difference of opinion... and the preponderant is that it depends, based on what is known [from the books].

According to us, a thing is what exists... and what exists is what remains in the real world.

The existence of something is that very thing, and the indivisible particle... is created and is not denied according to us.

Then, according to us, sins are of two types... minor and major. So the second...

Repentance from it is obligatory immediately... and it is not negated even if he immediately returns to it.

However, he must renew his repentance for what he committed... and in acceptance, their opinions differed.

Preservation of religion, self, wealth, lineage... and like them is the intellect and honor is indeed obligatory.

And whoever rejects what is known by necessity... from our religion is killed as a disbeliever, not as a hadd punishment.

Like that is the one who rejects what there is consensus upon... or makes permissible something like fornication, so listen!

It is obligatory to establish an upright leader... by the transmitted sources, so know it is not a rational judgment.

He is not a pillar who must be believed in in the religion... And do not go against his clear command.

Except in disbelief, then secede from his allegiance... For Allah alone will suffice us from his harm.

For other than this, it is not permissible to abandon him... He is not discharged if one of his attributes are lacking.

And command what is right, and stay away from slander... and backbiting, and every blameworthy characteristic.

Such as self-conceit, arrogance, the disease of envy... like argumentation and polemics, so rely!

And be how the Chosen of Creation were... always forbearing, following the truth.

Every good comes from following the Predecessors... and every evil from innovation of those who came later.

Every path of the Prophet is indeed preponderent... so do what he permitted, and leave what he forbade.

So follow the righteous ones from the predecessors... and avoid the innovation of those who came after.

Know this, and I ask Allah for sincerity... from showing off, then in being free...

...from the accursed one, then my ego, and whims... For whoever follows whims has indeed gone astray.

This, I ask Allah that He confer us... during all of our questioning with what we require.

Then blessings and peace, endlessly... on the Prophet, the persistently merciful...

... Muhammad, his companions, and his family... and the followers of his way from his nation.
